Aaron L. "Pop" Joubert Sr. died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at his home at the age of 86. He leaves to mourn his wife of 65 years, Beulah Charles Joubert, and seven children Mrs. Daisy Pitre (Anthony), Mr. Aaron Joubert Jr. (Valenti), Leatrice Joubert, Mrs. Janice Long (Thomas), Mrs. Agnes Boyd (Byron), Mr. Eric Joubert Sr. (Naomi) and Dr. Julie Guillory (Hilton); one brother, James Joubert; four sistersin-law; two brothers-in-law; 24 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; and a host of relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Beatrice Joubert; three brothers, Sidney, Mason and Eugene; two sisters, Elvia and Sarah; and three great-grandchildren, Madyson, Brycen and Trey. He served in the United States Army. He belonged to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Council no. 141 and the Holy Name Society.

On Friday, July 19, 2013, at Combre Funeral Home, a wake service will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., the Knights of Peter Claver ritual at 7:30 p.m., and the recitation of the Holy Rosary thereafter. On Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
