Life and Legacy of Adam B. DeBoest
Mr. Adam B. DeBoest, affectionately known as AB was the 8" child born to the union on the late Almeter Wilson DeBoest and the late Willie DeBoest. He was baptized at an early age at Evergreen Baptist Church. He converted to the Catholic faith in the early 1970s and became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He served as a lifelong usher. Adam was a former member of the Knights of St. Peter Claver Court #31. He was involved in church and attended mass every Sunday. Adam retired from McNeese State University after working diligently for 33 years. He was an entrepreneur, where he owned and operated Adam's Janitorial Service for 40 years. Also went on to work as a Crossing Guard for Calcasieu Parish School Board until his death. He also worked at Christian Charity.
At the age of 87 Adam entered eternal rest on Monday, November 18, 2023 at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles, LA.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mrs. Laverta DeBoest of Lake Charles, LA. Adam leaves his memory with those who knew him and adored him especially his 2 sons Robert DeBoest (Mary), Andre DeBoest, and 1 daughter Deborah Gallien (Louis); 5 grandkids Latoya Manuel (Jeffery), Damien Gallien, Robert Lee Mouton, Chris Bell (Kadijah), and Tamekia Clay; 15 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Adam was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Almeter DeBoest; 6 brothers Willie, Alfread, Lloyd, Robert, Alton and Wilmer; 2 sisters Christian Wilson and Genevieve Wilson; 1 son Mark Dwayne DeBoest.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
