Agnes Chretien Green of Lake Charles, Louisiana succumbed to her battle with cancer at the age of 81 while under the care of Harbor Hospice Lake Charles.  Agnes was born to Mamie and Walter Chretien of Thornwell, Louisiana.  She was the youngest of nine siblings.  The family relocated to Lake Charles when Agnes was a young child.  She attended Lake Charles primary schools and completed high school at W. O. Boston High where she was a member of the women's basketball team.  She briefly attended McNeese State University and later resumed her studies to become a Certified Nursing Assistant at Sowela Technical College.  Agnes worked as a CNA at Rest Haven Nursing Home until she retired.  Agnes married Thomas Green and to that union four children: Grad, Donna, Angela and Thomas II were born.  She enjoyed reading, dancing, traveling with her daughters and extended family on vacations in her retirement years.

She is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, sister, brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
