On Friday October 30, 2020 Alethia Marie Dejean Bryant, a loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 53.

Alethia was born January 27, 1967 to the late Kerry Dejean and Patrica Dejean Henney. She worked for the Calcasieu School Board for 15 years. On August 27, 1994, she married Talmadge Bryant to this union; two sons were born, Talmadge Jr and Kerry Bryant.

Alethia was a very caring person. She was always there with a helping hand for others in need. She loved French dancing and the casino. Alethia was preceded in death by her father Kerry Dejean, stepfather Donald Henney, her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Preston and Gladys Leger, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie and Willie Mae Dejean, an aunt that raised her, Vivan Valerie and 4 sons.

Alethia is survived by her husband Talmadge Sr, 2 sons Talmadge Jr and Kerry of Lake Charles, stepdaughter Stephanie Rankin, 4 grandchildren, 6 godchildren, her mother Patricia Henney of Lake Charles, brother Brian and Twion Dejean of Tupelo, Mississippi, stepbrother Ronald and Kim Henney, 5 stepsisters Lisa and Cedric(late) Rupert, Ronda and Meggie Griffin, Tammy and Gerad Steven, Yolanda and Huey (late), Patricia and Nathan Siverand, 4 brother in laws Anthony and Tracey Bryant, Ross Bryant, Almer Bryant, Craig and Lisa Bryant, and Angela Johnson all of Lake Charles.

Helen Henney who treated her like a daughter, a special Uncle Charlie and Catherine Leger and Mr. and Mrs. Willie Valerie and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces and Cousin.
