Alverta B. Rachal, 87, while home and surrounded by her loved ones, the Angel of the Lord carried Alverta to be with the Lord, Friday, May 22, 2015.

"Bit" as she was known by, was a native of Church Pointe, Louisiana and at the time of her death, resided in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was a retired dental assistant and member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Alverta enjoyed traveling and she often took many cruises. Her pastime was spent talking to others in French.

Alverta was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters Romaine Della Thibodeaux Clark, Eleanor Thibodeaux Duplechain, Anna Thibodeaux Guillory, and Mildred Thibodeaux Gooch; four brothers Adjuston, Woodrow, Wilmon, and Leo Thibodeaux, Jr.

She is survived by one sister Catherine Tasker of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her memories will live on in the hearts of two special caregivers and nephews Kenneth Guillory and Mark Thibodeaux, Sr., both of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Alverta is survived by a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; and other friends and relatives.

Service date: May 30, 2015

Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m in Combre Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral will be Saturday May 30, 2015 at St. Margaret Catholic Church, burial will be in Davies Memorial Park, Las Vegas, Nevada.
