Obituary

Andrea Marie Granger (54) passed away on March 20, 2024, in Lake Charles, La. She was born in Lake Charles, La on December 3, 1969, to Howard Granger and Edoll Broussard Granger.

She was a 1987 graduate of Lagrange High School. She also attended Xavier University and McNeese State University.

Andrea was a strong and hard-working woman. She began her career in direct home care services and later transitioned to the gaming industry. She was employed by the Isle of Capri Casino for around seven years and helped launch L'Auberge Casino Resort of Lake Charles where she maintained employment for almost 20 years.

Andrea had a huge heart. Her love was demonstrated through her care for her children, her passion for animals, and love for her extended family. She often participated in fostering and finding homes for animals in need. She did not hesitate to make personal sacrifices for her children and recognized their potential. She did what she could to foster their talents and skills and encouraged them to strive for success. Andrea loved to travel with family. She meticulously planned family excursions on an annual basis. She loved hunting for deals and welcomed family members to go on the trip. The trip would not be considered complete until she acquired an adequate souvenir to add to her collection.

She will be remembered by her faith in God, love for her children, and love for family.

Andrea leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Adrianne (TeRon) Greene of Houston, TX; two sons, Benjamin Granger and Andre Granger of Lake Charles, LA; and one grandchild, Gabriel. She is also survived by her brother, Calvin (Angie) Broussard of Lake Charles, LA; and three sisters, Uria (Milton) Hunter of New Orleans, La; Donia (Rapheal) Broussard of Lake Charles, LA; and Deirdre (James) Lemelle, of Lake Charles, LA. She is survived by one aunt, Eula Polk of New Iberia, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Edoll Granger, and one brother, Travis
