Andrew Burvice Jackson was born in Lake Charles, LA on June 25, 1925 to the late Burvice and Ethel Jackson.  He departed this life on December 24, 2019 in his home in Lake Charles where he had recently moved to be near close relatives.  Andrew was 94 years of age.

His family moved to Port Arthur, TX where he attended Lincoln High School.  Later, after moving with his family to Houston, he was drafted into the military.  Andrew served in the United States Army during the times of the Korean and Vietnam wars. Corporal Andrew B. Jackson was honorably discharged on April 1, 1960 after serving 7 years, 11 months and 23 days.

Andrew united in holy matrimony to Audry Nell Outley on June 19, 1948 where he remained a devoted husband for 71 years.

He lived an active life in his church and community.  He was a faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX for over 40 years where he served as President of the Nurses Ministry and City-wide Nurses in the Greater Houston area.  He was a Master Mason of The Most Worshipful Mt. Carmel Grand Lodge of the State of Texas. Most recently he was under watch care at Starlight Baptist Church where Reverend Julian K. Woods serves as the Pastor. His hobbies included fishing and watching western movies.

Preceding him in death were his parents and all of his siblings, brothers, Isaac and Jerome; and sisters, Geneva, Julia, Catherine and Bobbie Jean.

Andrew was a loving husband and leaves to cherish his memories his lovely wife, Audry Nell, and a host of nieces and nephews for whom he served as an instrumental role model.
