Annie was born in Lacassine, Louisiana to Lucille Robertson and Felix Carrier. She was called to Glory November 29, 2017 in a local nursing home at the age of 94. Annie was united in marriage to Willis DeRuso and to this union one son was born.

Annie retired from St. Patrick Hospital in the field of nursing. She loved babies and her granddaughters; her great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She also loved praying for family and friends. Her prayer was always a Novena or a rosary.

She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Felix Carrier; her husband, Willis DeRuso; two sisters, Beulah Guillory and Ella Wilson; three brothers, John Carrier, Clarence Carrier, and Felix  Carrier, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Earl M. (Pamala)DeRuso of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two granddaughters, Soncerae (Marshall) Montgomery of Houston, Texas and Rollando DeRuso of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
