Anthony "Tony" LeBlanc passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Lake Charles, La., and attended elementary school at Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Washington High School. He lived a number of years in Los Angeles, Calif., and attended United College of Business and was trained as a sharpshooter and a private security officer. He returned to Lake Charles years later and worked as a security officer at Harrah''s Casino until its closure. While employed at Harrah''s, he was actively involved with Big Brother/Big Sisters. He loved to spend time with his childrenand grandchildren.
Tony was blessed with many gifts: He was an artist, poet, writer, excellent pool player and musician. He loved people, was proud of his family, and he never met a stranger. If you talked to him, you always walked away with a smile and a little wisdom. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren LeBlanc Sr., and sister Dorothy LeBlanc-Ross.
He is survived by his mother, Elvina LeBlanc; sisters Madaline LeBlanc-Hall and Brenda (Kenneth) Schexnider and brother, Warren LeBlanc Jr.; two sons, Gary J. LeBlanc and Stuart A. LeBlanc, and one daughter, Tanya M. LeBlanc; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Anthony LeBlanc will be held Saturday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Rojo Antony will officiate. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 15, 8-10:40 a.m., at Combre Funeral Home.
