Anthony Lee "Murdock" Rosamore was born on October 4, 1961 to Mr. and Mrs. Roy & Bessie Rosamore in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was the fourth born child to this union. He was called to rest on October 7, 2014 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of New Sunlight Baptist Church, but was baptized at a young age at Mount Olive Baptist Church all in Lake Charles, La. He was a graduate of the Job Crop program. After graduating he furthered his education and graduated from the ABC School in Westlake, La where he received his certification in welding. Anthony was a well-known handyman as he excelled in mechanical work on vehicles, and could fix anything he put his hands on. He was a very independent person who didn''t like to depend on others for anything, but was willing to help others he came in contact with. He loved to venture out on his own which led him to see life outside of his hometown. He was fortunate to live in Anchorage, AK, Opelousas, La., and traveled to many places near and far.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memories his parents Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Bessie Rosamore, one sister Carolyn Faye Rosamore Thierry, three brothers Larry (Abby) Rosamore, John (Tamika) Rosamore, and Johnny Ray Rosamore all of Lake Charles, La, one daughter Enjoli Bolden of Dallas, TX., three sons Lloyd Thibodaux of Lake Charles, La., Jonathan (Amber) Prudhomme of Lafayette, La., and Shay Holt of Seattle, WA., seven grandchildren, Godparents Mr. and Mrs. George and Gloria King of Jonesburg, Ga., and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Anthony is preceded in death by his beloved sister Phyllis Marie Rosamore, two brothers Promise Darrell Rosamore and Willie Ray Rosamore, maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Promise and Rosalie Johnson, and paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Pete and Selena Rosamore.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: October 14, 2014
His funeral will be at 11am, Tuesday, October 14, in Combre Funeral Home. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.Visitation is from 9am Tuesday in Combre Funeral Home.
