Archie Frazier, 94, entered eternal rest at 5:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at his home with his loving wife.
Archie was a native of Columbia, La., and he had lived in Lake Charles, La., for 68 years. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II. He was gainfully employed by McNeese State University for 36 years before retiring. Archie was a devout member of Christian Baptist Church upon moving to Lake Charles. He was a member of the Male Chorus, Board of Directors and Faith Member of Laymen Brotherhood. Archie will be dearly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 65 years, Leola Scott Frazier; four grandchildren, Delano (Dulee) Frazier, Monika Boston, Marius Frazier, and Michelle Frazier; six great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; one brother Alex Stevenson; one nephew, Otis Gray; and a host of other relatives and friends.
His funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, in Christian Baptist Church. The Rev. Edward Alexander Jr., will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park, under the direction of Combre Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., Friday in the church.
