Beanna Miller Landry, 85, slipped away quietly in her sleep into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Memorial Herman Hospital in Richmond, TX.

She was born in Cankton, LA, July 14, 1928, to Onezifor and Laura Rubit. She married the late Steven Miller of Lake Charles, LA and later found love again marrying the late Satisfield Landry.

She dedicated her life to the service of others. She was a vessel from God, serving as an example to live a strong life of prayer and devotion. Beanna was an active member of the Knights of Peter Claver ladies Auxiliary, Saint Rita Court #31 of Lake Charles, LA, for 31 years as well as the Alter Society and the Rosary Society. She supported each organization faithfully for many years.

She is survived by her four siblings, Sister Mary Luke Rubit, Sister Mary Charlotte Rubit, Wilbert Rubit and Wilda (Rubit) Cook; her children, Brenda M. Mouton of Richmond, TX, Linda Smith of Baytown, TX, and Cleven Miller of Lake Charles, LA. She also is survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by one brother Lester Rubit, one grandchild, and one great grandchild.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: February 1, 2014

Her funeral will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Henry Catholic Church 1021 Eighth Avenue Lake Charles, LA 70601. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 7am-10:15am on Saturday in Combre Funeral Home.
