Beatrice “Bea” Wesley Thomas was born October 21, 1934 in Wisner, Louisiana to the late James and Picola Wesley, Sr. she united with Mount Sinai Baptist Church of Frogmore, Louisiana where she was baptized by Reverend James Jordan. She remained a faithful member of Mount Sinai until relocating to Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1955.
She met her beloved husband Isaac Thomas, Sr. and married on April 1, 1956. Both relocated to Lake Charles, Louisiana where they united with Saint Luke Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Oliver Doucet, and faithfully served under the pastorate of the late Reverend John Walker and Reverend Julius Smith. She worked for Coca-Cola, and for 15 years, served as a housekeeper until she retired.
Beatrice was the proud mother of Isaac Thomas, Jr., Patricia Thomas (Alfred) Williams, Jr., Janice Richard, and Bruce Thomas; grandmother of Chamika, Daniel Jr., Quincy, and Qualyon Bordelon; great grandmother of Destiney, Journi, and Janiyah Bordelon, Aleya, Jamia, and Garynn Citizen, Landon Bordelon, Gary Citizen III, and Gabriel, Gavyn and Gage Citizen; her beloved cousin-Shelby Wilson; sister-in-law Mary Wesley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Isaac Thomas, Sr.; son, Isaac Thomas, Jr.; sisters Mary Williams, Isabella Williams, Thelma Bowie, Rose Lee Thomas, Addie Price, Blanche Wesley, Mamie Webb, Martha Givens, Virginia Franklin, brothers, James Wesley, Jr. Hebert Wesley, Russell Wesley, Isaiah Wade and Leon Chrism; and grandson Drew Lee Williams.
Mrs. Thomas visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2026 followed by the funeral at 11:00 A.M. in Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
