Durouso
September 23, 1951 – February 23, 2025
On Sunday, February 23, 2025 Bernette (Frog) Durouso, 73, entered into his eternal rest. He was born in Lafayette, LA on September 23, 1951 to August Durouso and Alice Malveaux Durouso.
Upon completing his education from Washington High School in Lake Charles, LA, he worked at many companies and held down various jobs. He went on to work for Allied Moving Company, from there he retired. He was a devoted Catholic/Christian and honored to hold the position of Usher at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Beginning in 1977 he started his family, he leaves to cherish his memories: son, Damon T. Thomas (mother Kim Thomas): three daughters, Brandi Guillory-Irvin (Elisha), Lariska Guillory and Melissa Guillory (mother Alura Guillory); two brothers, John Duriseau, Joseph Durosea Sr. and; three sisters, his twin, Bernis Daniel, Connie Durouso, Virginia Antoine (Kenneth), and; eleven grandchildren, Stephon Vital, Sterling Vital Jr., Malachi Irvin, Kimora Roy, Christopher Roy Jr., Camille Guillory, Kaidyn Morgan, Kaivery Johnson, Kailyx Johnson, Tiana Michelle Anderson and Benjamin Paul Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, August and Alice Durouso, his siblings, Shirley Mae Leday, Ogden Durouso, A. Paul Durriseau, Austin James Duriseau, Bella Marie Banks, and Jennie Cobb.
