Bernice Shirley Doucette-Dugas was born on January 3, 1946, in Lake Charles,
Louisiana LA.

She was the eighth child of 12 children. She attended public school in Lake Charles and
worked at Piccadilly Cafe for many years before retiring.

She was married to John Dugas Jr. and has two children, Joyce Marie Dugas and John
Dugas III.

As a native of Louisiana, she was baptized at an early age at Mount Calvary Baptist
Church under the leadership where the late Rev. Jones and the later Rev. Horace Allen
was Pastor.

She made her transition on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dugas Jr. her parents, Alfred Sr. and
Mable Doucette, four brothers, David, Clarence, Raymond, and Mark Doucette.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her two children Joyce Marie Dugas, Lafayette, LA,
& John Dugas III, Alexandria, LA. Two brothers, Alfred Jr. Lake Charles, LA, & Issac
Doucette, Los Angeles, CA. Five sisters, Hilda Johnson & Ella Dean Doucette, Lake
Charles, LA, Coralin Doucette-Theriot (Tina), Lafayette, LA, Lula Doucette-Warren, Los
Angeles CA, and Peggy Doucette, Fontana, CA. Along with host of nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.
