Betty J. Lutcher Smith

Lake Charles – Betty J. Lutcher Smith, 77, died at 1:00P.M. Thursday August 30,2018 in her home.

She was born in Franklin, La. but was raised in Lake Charles.  She worked at St. Patrick Hospital as a dietary aide, she then chose to become a stay at home mother.

Survivors include her four children: Jacqueline Lutcher, Tawana Smith, Joseph (Annie) Smith, Jr., and Joanne Smith all of Lake Charles. She also leaves to cherish her memory 5 grandchildren: Jaden Smith, Brayden Smith, Dylan Smith, Karson Smith, and A. K. all of Lake Charles. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews to cherish her memories.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bennie and Katherine Lutcher. Her siblings: Benjamin Lutcher, Joseph "Joe" Lutcher, and Catherine "Cat" Lutcher James. Her Joseph A. Smith, Sr.
