Brenda Joyce Love, 67, departed this life on Monday March 30, 2015, at 11:30 am in a local hospital. Brenda Love was born October 1, 1947 to the late Eddie and Gladys Kemp. She was preceded in death by her husband LaVaughn Love to whom she was married to for eighteen years.

She was a native resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana and a member of New Sunlight Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir and worked at the Church''s Day Care Center. Brenda enjoyed socializing with family and friends. She graduated from W.O. Boston High School class of 1965. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Eddie Moore of Lake Charles, Eric Moore and LaDaughn Love of Oakland, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Gladys Kemp of Lake Charles; husband, LaVaughn Love of Oakland, Ca; one sister, Edlen Kemp of Lake Charles; and one daughter, Rhonda Love of Lake Charles.

Sister Love was blessed to have seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one God daughter and a host of cousins and friends.

Service date: April 11, 2015

Funeral services for Brenda Love will be held at 11:00 am at New Sunlight Baptist Church, 515 V.E. Washington Street. Pastor Harold Robinson will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at New Sunlight Baptist Church under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
