We celebrate the life of Mrs. Bridget E. Lewis who transitioned on April 22,2014 at her home. Lewis was born in Hollywood, California on June 13, 1973. She was raised in Los Angeles, California until 2003 when she moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana where she spent most of her adult life. Though taken early, she lived to see 40 glorious years.
Lewis worked at Wal-Mart superstore in Lake Charles at the deli and worked at Target in Los Angeles, California for three years prior.
Lewis enjoyed being with her family and her five children as well as her mother. She was a strong woman who was taken too early in her life due to a 3 year battle with breast cancer.
Lewis had a warm and caring spirit. She touched the lives of many as she leaves to cherish her beloved family husband Brad K. Elliott of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; beloved mother Geraldine Ann Lewis and five children Irie, Sativa, Audi, Kanani, and Huey Jr. Other lives she touched were Aunt Thelma Thierry of Los Angeles, California, Veronica (Jerome) Sam of Missouri City Texas, Mary (William) Guidry of Westlake Louisiana, James J. (Isabel) Guidry, Emelida (Halman) Chavis, Anita (Richard) Coleman, Margaret Guidry, and Gustavia Barbara (Willie) Ramsey all of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
She was predecessors by her father Nelson Lewis, and her grandparents and Louis (Meria) Guidry.
Lewis was a gentle, kind and generous soul who always loved her family unconditionally. She lived her life to the fullest and fought hard until the very end left us with a multitude of memories that are beyond measure and her footprints are in the send. Lewis will always be loved, remembered and cherished in our hearts forever.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: April 25, 2014
Funeral will be at 10am Friday, April 25, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Marcus Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 8am -9:40am Friday, April 25, in Combre Funeral Home Chapel.
