Burklin Ray Fontenot 70, passed on January 22, 2017 in a local hospital. He was born on May 7, 1946 to the late Bervick Fontenot Sr. and Eva Mae Pete.
He was a US Army Veteran having served in Vietnam and becoming a Drill Sergeant at Fort Polk, La. Burklin retired from the US Postal service with 33 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ada Fontenot of 45 years, and to this union they have two sons, Duane Kevin, and Darren Michael (Jessica) Fontenot. Also three grand babies Aubrey, Mila, and Mason. Siblings Bervick Fontenot Jr. of Lake Charles, La, Betty Willams of Houston, Tx., John (Melinda) Fontenot of Spring Tx., Alice Faye Hatcher, Julia (Don) Finley, and Carl Roy all of Humble, Tx., and a host of other family members, friends, and neighbors who knew him and miss him dearly.
