Byron Keith January Sr., 47, of Lake Charles, La., passed away May 6, 2016.

Byron was born in Lake Charles, La., on Dec. 24,1968. He graduated from Washington Marion High School in 1986.He liked motorcycles, fast cars and living the dream. He was a people person; he would talk to anyone and everyone. He would go fishing from time to time.

Byron is survived by his mother, Shirley January; his brother, Selwyn January; his sisters, Brita and Alysia January; his five children, Natasha Washington, Nacolby Deruso, Amonte DeRuso, Devin Booth and Byron January Jr.; his two stepchildren, Shauna and Mia Thibodeaux; his six grandchildren and the rest of his family and friends.

Byron is preceded in death by his father, Charles January.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: May 18, 2016

The wake will be held at Combre Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 17, 2016. The funeral service will take place at Saints Memorial Church of God at 11 a.m. on May 18. Pastor Patrick Broussard will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Combre Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Combre Funeral Home.
