Calvin Joseph Malveaux was born on March 11, 1929 in Plaisance, LA. to the late Culver and Mable (Bertrand) Malveaux.

He was a very loving and caring person who never met a stranger. He served in the U.S. Army from January 4, 1951 to December 19, 1952. He was the owner and operator of Malveaux''s Barber shop and carwash for many years. Calvin met his soul mate Joyce Marie James, where they joined in Holy Matrimony November 30, 1957. They resided in Lake Charles for nearly 50 years, where they raised their children. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, bowling, and spending time with family. God called his angel home May 18, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, Marshall, Morris, Adam, Rudolph, andRaphael Malveaux; 1 sister, Lucy Malveaux; son, Reginald Malveaux, son-in-law, Ray Malbroux; and 1 great-granddaughter, Bailey Malveaux.

He leaves to cherish his memories his beautiful wife, Joyce James Malveaux. His Wonderful children; Debra (Lee) Jones, Dwight (Felicia) Malveaux, Jacinthia (Ray-deceased) Malbrough, Stephanie Malveaux all of Lake Charles and Calvin Joe (Susan) Malveaux of LaPlace, LA. his precious grandchildren, Deinikia, Natalan, April, Jasmine, Ieshia, Jayda, Alyssa, Alexis,Haleigh and Ashanta; great- grandchildren Dillion and Dereona ;2 sisters, Lillian Charles and Agnes Egby of Pearland, TX; 2 brothers, Oneal Malveaux of Lake Charles and Joseph (Patricia) Jacob Malveaux of Opelousas. Godchildren, Annie and Jarvis Malveaux and a host of neices, nephews,relatives, and friends

His funeral will be at 10am, Monday, May 27, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 6-9pm May 26, Sunday in Combre Fuenral Home.
