LAKE CHARLES-Carl Michael Waters, 63, passed away at 6:45 a.m., February 19, 2013, at Christus St. Patrick Hospital. He was born on December 26, 1949 to Doretha K. Waters and the late Joys R. Waters.

He was a native of Lake Charles, LA. He was a member of the 1967 Graduating class of W.O Boston High School. He was an Army veteran. After his discharge from the Army, He was employed by Firestone Rubber plant and later by the City of Lake Charles Water Division. Prior to his illness, he was employed by McNeese State University. HE was a member of Warren United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joys R. Waters and two sisters, Joys Ruth Waters and Sharon Waters Mallet.

He is survived by his mother, Doretha Kane Waters of Lake Charles: Two brothers, Carver Waters and Reginald (Wanda) Waters, both of Lake Charles; five sisters, Mary Franklin of Seattle, Washington, Brenda Waters of Baton Rouge, LA, Carrie Waters, Doretha (Wayne) Weston, and Cynthia (Donald) Hawkins, all of Lake Charles; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.m. on Monday February 25, 2013 at Warren United Methodist Church, located at 1800 Orchid Street in Lake Charles. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. immediately following the visitation period. Rev. Anice Moses will officiate. Interment will be at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
