Carolyn Lawdins Lazare, 65, passed away Sept. 14, 2014, in her residence with family at her side.

She was born on Jan. 3, 1949, in Welsh, to the late Julia Prudhomme and Osborn Lawdins.

Carolyn was a gracious mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She resided most of her life in Lake Charles, La. She was a devoted member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research for over 30 years. She loved to cook and bake for her family. She was employed at Players Casino until her retirement. Her sense of humor had a great impact on everyone she encountered. She was very welcoming, never met a stranger and always left a lasting impression. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Bristol (Theron) Embry of Riverdale, Ga., Shonda Delafosse of Lafayette, La., Sonia (Gordon) Bias of Lake Charles, La.; two sons, Joseph (Cathleen) Delafosse Jr., Kenneth (Delon) Delafosse; eight grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren, four sisters, one brother, a host of relatives and friends.
