Catherine "Cat" Francis DeClues, passed away in her home at the age of 86, on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016. Catherine was born on Sept. 23, 1930, in Mallet, La., to the late Sidney and Estella (Dumas) Francis.

Catherine was a devoted Catholic and was an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where she was a founding member and served on the KPC #141 Lady Auxiliary, Christian Mothers and Cursillo #102.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Pamela Riggs, Jennifer (Kevin) Woods and Angela (Louis) Pete; one son, Anthony DeClues; one sister, Mary Ann (Herbert) Lafanette; one step-daughter, Rosie Bell Rice; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John "Big John" DeClues; her two sons, Johnny Ray DeClues and David Nelson DeClues; her granddaughter, Jaquetta "Quetta" Marie DeClues; four brothers, Earnest (Viola) Francis, Herman (Ella) Francis, Joseph (Lucendy) Francis, Jules (Wilda) Francis; and her dearest long-time friend, Mary Doucet.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: October 15, 2016

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, from 9 a.m.- 12:40 p.m. at Combre Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
