Catherine "Bias" Jett

On October 12, 1957, Catherine Bias Jett also known as "Cat" was born to the late Shirley Bias Sr. and Velma Bias in Ville Platte, Louisiana Louisiana. She later moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana and then Houston, Texas where she was a longtime resident.

Catherine graduated from Marion High School.

Catherine departed this life on Tuesday May 22, 2018 at Memorial Herman Southwest in Houston, Texas.  Preceding her in death was her father Shirley Bias Sr., her mother Velma Bias, and sisters Judy Thomas and Paranell Lewis. Catherine lived her life to the fullest. To cherish her loving memories, she leaves behind her husband Henry Jett Sr., sons, Tyrone Christopher Thomas (Shandreka) of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Terrance Varez Thomas (Tiara), Anthony Jett, Henry Jett Jr., daughters, Errhonda Presley, and Deborah Williams Robinson Jaye of Houston, Texas, grand children, Terry Ray Thomas, Terrance Korey Thomas of Houston, Texas, Tyrone Christopher Thomas Jr., Arriana Christina, Brittany Newby, Sierra S. Alexander, Jeremiah Randall, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Brianne Newby of Dallas, Texas, and great grandchildren, Karson J. Mallett, Ayden J. Newby of Dallas, Texas.

Her memories will also be cherished by siblings Dorothy Thomas (Willard), Patricia Bias, Stephanie Frank, Shirley Bias Jr. (Linda), Darrel Bias Sr. (Charlotte), Larry Bias (Elaine), Ladray Bias Sr. (Lynn), Ronnie Bias (Karen); all of Lake Charles, LA., Carrie Jones Patterson, of Houston, TX., and Anthony Bias (Mary) of Baton Rouge, and a host of loving family members and close friends.

Above all the family will continue to give thanks for having a presence in the life of a woman we are honored to call a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend. Precious moments with Catherine will remain in our hearts.
