Charlene Patrice Gauthier-Landry was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Catherine Guillory-Gauthier and Isaac Gauthier, II on December 2, 1953. She passed away peacefully at the St. Franciscan Villa Nursing Home, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on June 22, 2026, at the age of 72 years young.
Charlene received her early education from Sacred Heart Elementary School and was a proud graduate of Lake Charles High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was employed with the American Press Newspaper for several years as well as FMC Corporation after relocating to Houston, Texas.
She was united in marriage to Milton Landry, Jr. In 1973 and together they had three sons, Edwin, Eric, and Christopher Landry. She was a devout Catholic and God was always first always first in her life. Charlene was a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend who will be missed by all. Charlene leaves behind her family to cherish her memory; Milton Landry, Jr., sons, Edwin Landry (Rhiannon), Eric Landry (Miranda) and Christopher Landry. Three sisters, Madeline Gauthier Burkins (Philip) of New Orleans, Louisiana, Iris Gauthier and Gina Gauthier-Pearson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Five brothers, Isaac Gauthier III, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Gerald Gauthier, Lake Charles, Louisiana, Daniel Gauthier, Beaumont, Texas, Kevin Gauthier (Carla), New Iberia, and Darwin Gauthier, Kinder, Louisiana. Grandchildren, Tayla Landry, Karrington Landry, Khamryn Landry, Haiden Landry, Kaidan Landry, Louisiana Landry, Erica Landry, Jeremiah Landry and Isaiah Landry. Great-grandchildren, Legend and Lola Landry and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Charlene was loved by her family, extended family, treasured friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Though she has transitioned from this earthly life, her spirit remains ever present-alive in the hearts she touched, the lives she inspired and the love she shared so freely. She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Guillory-Gauthier, and Isaac Gauthier, II. She leaves behind a legacy not written in words, but in hearts forever changed by her faith, kindness and devotion.
The family will receive family and friends beginning at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, the funeral will follow at 11:00 A.M. in Combre Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
