Charlotte Ann Jenkins, 79, of Lake Charles, LA, folded up her tent on December 31,2023.

Charlotte was born on June 24, 1944, to Cyrus Sr & and Alverda Jenkins in Lake Charles, LA. After graduating from Washington High School in 1962, she worked as an X-ray tech at St. Patrick Hospital where she went on to retire. She was passionate about the health industry and loved what she did for a living. During this time, she had one child Zelma Denise Jenkins. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart where she received all her sacraments. She faithfully attended mass until she became homebound but continued to receive the Holy Eucharist. During her life she enjoyed bowling. She was part of a travel bowling league where she won several tournaments, loads of trophies, and bowling pens, showing how good she was! She also played summer softball where she was a pitcher....and pitching was her thing. She had an unstoppable curveball! She thoroughly enjoyed sharing her passion for both sports with family and friends.

Charlotte was predeceased by her father Cyrus Jenkins Sr, her mother Alverda Henny Jenkins, her three brothers; Lawrence, James Sr and Fredrick Jenkins, her three sisters; Celestine and Liesta Jenkins, and Margie Evans. She is survived by her daughter Zelma Gipson, her sister Theresa (Dewey) Jenkins Griffin, her two brothers Cyrus (Earnie) Jenkins, Jr and John Jenkins, Sr, her three grandchildren, Meagan (Terrell) Clark, Jordan Avery, and Justin Avery, her two great-grandchildren Maddox and Titan Clark, two sister in laws, Laura Dell Jenkins and Mildred Jenkins and a host of nieces and nephews.
