Obituary

Columbus DeClouette, Jr., Jack of all trade, died at a local nursing home on Saturday, April 23 at the age of 69.

Columbus was born September 21, 1946 to Elizabeth and Columbus DeClouette Sr. He was a life long resident of Lake Charles, LA. He graduated from Washington High and went on to graduate from Southern University in Business.

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Columbus enjoyed quality time with his family and friends. He was a man of quiet strength, however he was always ready with just the right words. He enjoyed reading, solving problems, and working on his next big project.

He leaves to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Tinnie Cobb DeClouette; three children LaChandra Cobb of Beaumont, TX, Godwin Henderson, Kereith (Courtney) White of Lake Charles. Granddaughter Jessika Henderson, six grandchildren Jereith White, Demetrius, Taylor, Destiny Lazard, Kerrington and Kendall White. Two great grandchildren one brothe rEldridge (Bernadette) DeClouette two sisters Joyce (Joe) Pete and Virgie Stephens and a host of neices, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, daughter Latascha Henderson and grandson Joshua Fusilier.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: April 30, 2016

Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Living Word Christian Center. Funeral services will follow at the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park under to direction of Combre Funeral Home.
