Darrell J. "Shockey" Gobert Sr., 72, departed this life on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, inside his residence.

He was born on October 25, 1948 in Lafayette, LA to Clarence T. and Mildred (Durousseau) Gobert. He was employed at PPG Industries where he worked faithfully for 35 years until his  retirement. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and gardening.

Cherishing his memories are his former spouse, Rose Leget Gobert of 38 years, and of that union born one son, Darrell J. (Thea) Gobert Jr all of Lake Charles; four brothers, Eddie (Mary) Gobert of Diamondhead, MS; Paul and Phillip Gobert; three sisters, Genevieve (Rubin) Simien, and Alonda and Laura Gobert all of Mallet; two grandchildren, one step grandchild, and three great grandchildren all of Lake Charles. Darrell Gobert Sr. was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
