David Lynn Fontenot, 59, born June 13, 1958 in  Lafayette, La., passed away at Memorial Herman hospital South East on January 15th, 2018 from natural causes.  David was born in Lafayette, La on June 13, 1958 to Hubert Fontenot and Jeanette Jean Fontenot.  He graduated from Washington High School on May 28th 1976.

He served in the Navy from 1976-1980 and the US Navy Reserve from 1980-1982. His accomplishments included Fire Protection Fire Brigade USS Kitty Hawk, Team Rescue from Texas A&M and Certified CPR from San Jacinto College,Texas A&M 1981.

He is survived by his his four children Michael Wayne Harrison, Rolona Nicole Guillory, David Fontenot, and Chloe Fontenot, his two brothers Darrell (Gwen) Fontenot, Donald (June) Trahan, and his two sisters Corliss Trahan, and Shelley Trahan, his nine grandchildren Romain Melanson, Roxanne Harrison, Lexus Guillory, Jeromie Guillory, Jerlyone Guillory, Lamar Harrison,  Janae Harrison, Caitylynn Stevens, Maleah Harrison and his great grandchildren Romain Melanson, Jr.,Tristen Melanson, Noah R. Johnson.
