IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Davis
Dominique
March 28, 1950 – November 28, 2024
On November 28, 2024, as the morning approached, God and God alone drew back the curtain and brought Brother Davis Lee Dominique home.
Davis Lee Dominique was born to the late Culver Dominick and Esther Bellard Dominick on March 28, 1950, in Ville Platte, LA. The late C.J. Jones baptized him at the age of seven at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Upon moving to Lake Charles, he became a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. He was also an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Davis worked and retired from Halliburton for 39 years. He enjoyed gardening, going to the casino, and cracking jokes. He was "a man of few words but stood on business!"
Davis's memories will forever be etched in the hearts of his wife of 53 years, Lorita Malveaux Dominique of Lake Charles, LA; one son, Nicholas Dominique of Lake Charles, LA; and one daughter, Tracy Fontenot of Houston, TX. He also leaves three brothers, Jimmy (Carolyn) Dominick of Plaisance, LA, Claude Dominick of Elton, LA, and Gilvin (Mary) Dominick of Lake Charles, LA; three sisters, Maybres (August) Malveaux of Opelousas, LA, Betty (Waddrice) Johnson of Ville Platte, LA, and Barbara Jeanette Dominick of Lake Charles, LA. Four grandchildren, Aaron Dominique, Aariele Dominique, Kaylon McCarver, Dericka James; three godchildren, Sutrulor Malveaux-Gardner, Peggy Clark, and Wanda Vigers-Monday. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his one son, Petra F. Dominique; parents, Culver and Esther Dominick; three sisters, Margaret Clark, Annie Eskridge, and Irma Lee Jack; and two brothers, Nelvin Dominick and Allen Drake Dominick.
