Deborah Ann White- Dobbins was born September 14, 1960, to Linkie B. White and the late Shelton Dixon, Sr. Deborah entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She was born in Lake Charles, La and graduated from W.O. Boston High School in 1978 and attended McNeese University. She was an extremely devoted and dedicated employee of Brenda Hunter Head Start for over 19 years and Calcasieu Parish School Board (LaGrange High School) for 12 years before she retired.

Deborah was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when they needed her. She was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Horace C. Allison at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Charles La. Deborah later joined Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful Disciple under the leadership of Dr. Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr. She was a member of the GSM Mass Choir and Marriage Small Group (Genesis) before joining the Widows Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years Kevin Dobbins, her father Shelton Dixon, Sr., grandparents Herbert and Crisey White, grandson Kevin Joseph Guidry, Jr., uncles Elmo, Junior and Eddie White and one aunt Marie White.

Deborah leaves to forever cherish her memories two daughters, Jamica Bowers, Bree (Kevin, Sr) Guidry; three sons, Jermerro Bowers, Renald Bennett and Xavier (Patricia) Bennett; two grandchildren she raised as her own Jakylyn and Jasmine Bowers; one sister Etta (Donald) White Goins; one brother Rico Williams both of Lake Charles, La, Mother-in-law Joyce Mae Williams; her three best girlfriends Sandra Francois Green, Gloria Vital, Carol Francis, friend Gary Woods, special cousin Monica Griffin, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 (Gramkid) Su'Osha Lorraine, 3 godchildren Zacheus Bourne, Jayla Gladney and Janiyah Mitchell along with a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
