August 5, 1961 – July 13, 2022
Deloris Joseph Anderson was born on August 5, 1961, to the union of Mary Lee Frank and Elton Joseph in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Deloris accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in the Baptist faith. She was a long time member of Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Ernest Arvie. Prior to moving to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, due to the evacuation of Hurricanes Laura and Delta, she attended Christian World Church under the leadership of Pastor Jerry Snider.
She was a 1980 Graduate of Washington High School. After graduation, she received her Nurses Aide Certification from Martin DePorres Nursing Home where she was employed as a Nurses Aide for several years. She also worked in the janitorial field, as well as, in private homes. On April 7, 1980, Deloris married Robert Lee White. To this union, was born, her only child, Sonya Latrice White.
Deloris departed this life on July 13, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elton and Mary Lee Frank Joseph; Brother, Deroy Joseph; and Stepbrother, Johnson Joseph.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter, Sonya Latrice (Kenneth) Slocumb of McDonough, Georgia. Five Grandchildren: Kysha of Arizona; Jaliciya, Jayden, Kenya, and Kayla; One great grandchild, Josiah all of Georgia. Siblings, Laura B. Hanchett; Larry J. Joseph; Samuel Joseph (Delores); Marcella Batiste (Anthony, Sr); Mary L. White (Alvin); Sandra A. Harrison; and Arlise R. Frank; all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
