Deloris Jones was born on June 3, 1951, in Lake Charles, LA to Leon Garland, Sr., and Lessie Malone Garland. On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, God called her to rest eternally in the place that He prepared for her in His heavenly home.
Deloris was united in holy matrimony to Robert Jones Sr. for over 48 years.  God blessed her and entrusted her with five angels, Crystal, Robert Jr., Leslie, Jennifer, and Jeremy. She was a devoted wife and dedicated mother.  She had a profound love for her grandchildren, Adam, Legend, Laykn, Seline and Jett. She cherished spending time with her family and lending a helping hand whenever and wherever she could. She had a loving spirit and generous heart and always made those around her feel welcome.

Deloris enjoyed studying the Bible, listening to gospel music, and talking about the Lord to all that she met. She would sing whatever song was in her heart at any given time.

Deloris was educated in the Calcasieu Parish School System and attended W.O. Boston High School. She worked at Citgo until her retirement and was admired by all that worked with her.

Deloris is a member of the Saint Henry Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary.

The legacy and memories Deloris leaves will be cherished by: her husband Robert Jones Sr.; children, Crystal Jones of Lake Charles, LA, Robert Jr. (Delann) of Irving, TX, Leslie Jones of Portland, OR, Jennifer Jones (Michael) of Dallas, TX, and Jeremy Jones (Sietra) of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Adam Jones, Legend Jones, Laykn Jones, Seline Jones, and Jett Jones; brothers, Leon Garland, Jr. of Arlington, TX, Ray (Dodi) Garland and Herbert (JoAnn) Garland, both of Lake Charles, LA; sisters Judy Green and Victoria Franklin, both of Houston, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts, and all who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leon Garland Sr., and Lessie Malone Garland, and one brother, Gabriel 'Gabe' Garland.
