Donna Marie Combre Lemelle

Donna Marie Combre Lemelle 83 years old peacefully passed away on August 21st 2026 surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. She was born on January 18th 1943 to the parents of Theophile Combre Jr. and Hilda Docuet Combre.

A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend; she was the heart and strength of her family, whose warmth and generosity touched everyone around her. Whether she was fishing, tending to her flowers, feeding the birds, reading her favorite books or sharing stories that brought everyone together, Donna lived life with joy, love and passion. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of kindness, faith and devoted service to God. Her loving spirit and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Donna was educated in Calcasieu Parish, where she graduated from W.O. Boston High School in 1961. She began her career with the Calcasieu Parish School Board, where she worked at Jake Drost Elementary for over 30 years. She dedicated her life to nurturing, teaching, and shaping young minds, leaving an everlasting impact on every child she touched. In addition to her career in education, Donna was also employed by Benevolent Life Insurance Company for many years, where she continued to serve others with dedication and compassion.

Donna was a lifelong and faithful member of Warren United Methodist Church, where she proudly served on the Usher Board. She remained active in the church and dedicated to serving others until her health began to decline.

She leaves to cherish her memories one brother Theophile Combre III of (Dunwoody, Ga.) one sister Gussie Taylor of Lake Charles, La. one daughter Hilda Morris ( Reginald ) of Lake Charles , La. ; two sons Stafford Morris and Gerald ( Rochelle ) Morris of Lake Charles ; two stepsons Jerry Lemelle of San Antonio Tx.. and Anthony (Tonya) of Lake Charles, La.; ten grandchildren Kellie , Kaitlyn , Kennedy Morris , Malcom Perkins , Justin Washington , Jeremy , Christian , Jamal , Alana and Aaron Lemelle; seven great grandchildren Karsyn Garrett , Kohen Rideau , Luna , Gerri , Kayson , Oaklin Lemelle and Phoenix Sampson.

Donna was preceded in death by parents Theophile Combre Jr. and Hilda Docuet Combre, her son Charles Randell Morris, her husband Jerry Lemelle and her first husband Charles Morris, her brother Terrell Combre and her daughter- in- law Sandra Morris. 

Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. followed by funeral service at 11:00 A.M. in Warren United Methodist Church, Interment will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
