Obituary

Dorothy Ann Bias Thomas "Doy", 70, peacefully departed this life on Saturday April 24, 2021 with family by her side after a long battle with cancer. She was reunited with her mother, father, three sisters (Paranell Bias Lewis, Judy Thomas, and Catherine Thomas Jett), and her nephew Terrance V. Thomas who preceded her in death.

She was born on September 20, 1950 to the late Shirley Bias Sr. and Velma Ardoin Bias in Ville Platte, LA. At the age of seventeen she moved to Lake Charles, LA., where she became a faithful member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Dorothy graduated from James Steven High and attended Sowela Tech where she majored in Accounting. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Willard Lee Thomas. To this union they were blessed with 3 children (Falencia Bias Ezendu, Natasha Blue, and Lavacia Rosette).

To cherish her loving memory she leaves her husband, Willard Lee Thomas, daughters: Falencia R. Ezendu, Natasha N. Blue, and Lavacia S. Rosette (Gregory); 7 grandkids; Eliana Ezendu, Catherine Ezendu, Jarvis Bias, Marcus Blue, Juston Blue, Malaysia Blue, Jaden Bias, Khalil Rosette, and Carelli Guillory; 5 Great-Grandkids; Mason Ned, Malachi Ned, Kaison Blue, A'Niyah Blue, and Silas Royal. Her memory will also be cherished by her loving sisters and brothers; Patricia Bias, Stephanie Frank, Shirley (Linda) Bias, Darrell (Charlotte) Bias, Larry (Elaine) Bias, Ronnie (Karen) Bias, Ladray (Lynn) Bias; all of Lake Charles, LA., Carrie Patterson of Houston, TX, and Anthony (Mary) Bias of Baton Rouge, LA.; one aunt, Stella Mae (Byrd) Ardoin of Ville Platte LA.; four uncles: Jessie J. Ardoin of New Orleans, LA; Gene O. Ardoin of San Francisco, CA.; Ray Ardoin of Richmond, CA..; Mose Bias Jr. of Ville Platte LA., and Johnny Mose Bias of Opelousas LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, god children, relatives and friends.

As we reflect on the life of Dorothy Thomas each of us will hold on to the memories of her kind-hearted loving spirit and how she touched each of our lives. Let's remember the strong and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who demonstrated an unwavering faith in God.
