On Friday, May 14, 2021, heaven welcomed our beloved Drucilla Marie Blanchard Mayo. She will lovingly be remembered for her devotion to her family and her strong faith in God. Drucilla also known as "Dru" to her immediate family and "Sister Dru" by her church family was born on August 13, 1951, as the second child to Austin and Cecelia Blanchard. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Drucilla and her loving husband, Ronald Lee Mayo, were married for 47 wonderful years. Drucilla and her husband, Pastor Ronald L. Mayo co-founded United Christian Fellowship Church that has been established in Lake Charles, Louisiana for over 31 years.

She leaves to honor her memory her husband, Ronald Lee Mayo; two daughters: Eunice Mayo and Lena (Damien)Morris; three grandchildren: Ava Henry, Deron Morris, and Lucas Morris; two sisters: Patricia (Thomas) Lewis of Fayetteville, Georgia and Catherine Paddio of Lake Charles; two brothers: Ronald (Peggy) Blanchard and Donald (Dinah Lee) Blanchard of Lake Charles; brothers-in-law: Ricky (Annette) Mayo and Carl (JoAnn) Mayo of Lake Charles; sisters-in-law: Tammy (Alfonso) Ross of Corpus Cove, Texas, Felicia (Terry) Lucas of Pearland, Texas, Lana Mayo of Channelview, Texas, Paula Mayo, Jeannie Mayo, Shelly Mayo of Lake Charles and a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Drucilla Mayo is preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Cecelia Blanchard, her sister, Yolanda Blanchard, her grandson, Logan Mayo, and her niece Doris Cecelia Blanchard. Drucilla will be sadly missed by all who loved her dearly, but her soft-spoken words of wisdom will forever remain in our hearts.
