On October 11, 1932, Edward Thomas, Jr was born to the late Edward Thomas, Sr and Rita Thomas in St. Landry Parish. At an early age he moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana where he was a lifelong resident.

Edward was united in holy matrimony to Lorita Marie Thomas on April 15, 1961. To this union they were blessed with three sons.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,

I have kept the faith".

II Timothy 4:7-8

Edward peacefully departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at the age of 82 years old. Preceding him in death are his parents Edward Thomas, Sr and Rita Thomas, four brothers Illinois Thomas, Sr, Abraham Thomas, Darnel Thomas and Eugene Thomas.

Cherishing Edward''s loving memory is three sons Eddie (Sabrinia) Thomas, Sr., Phillip (Judy) Thomas and Marvin Thomas; two grandsons Desmund (Kayla) Thomas, Eddie Thomas, Jr.; one granddaughter Lorita Adele Thomas; two great grandchildren Khalil Thomas and Brooklyn Thomas; and two step grandkids Amari and Aniyah all of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

His memories will also be cherished by her loving sisters Peggy Lee Thomas and Ora Lee Thomas of Opelousas; one brother Willie Lee Thomas of Dallas, Texas.

Let''s remember the loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who demonstrated an unwavering faith in God.

Visitation tonight from 6pm - 9pm at the Funeral Home. Funeral Saturday September 26, 2015, 1pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Entombment in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
