Upon moving to Lake Charles he united with the New Sunlight Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Victor Washington. He became a faithful and dedicated member of the Usher Board. He served faithfully until ill health prevented his service. He will be remembered as a quiet, gentle, and distinguished gentleman.
