Elcid C. Ceasar, 36 died Friday, December 14, 2012 in his residence.
- Elcid Ceasar, a native of Lake Charles, LA graduated from Lakes High School in Tacoma, WA in 1994. Upon graduation he relocated to Lake Charles, LA and attended McNeese State University. He was employed at Casa Manana for 17 years before opening his own restaurant Cid's Café & Catering. Cid was a devoted single dad. He enjoyed fishing and cooking for family and friends. Elcid was a member of Christian Baptist Church. He loved singing in the male chorus.
Survivors include three daughters, DeAnastasia, Elicia and Komara Ceasar of Lake Charles, LA; two sons, Elcid Ceasar, Jr. & Mason Jackson of Eunice, La; wife Kojeja Hayes of Baytown, Tx; parents Jacqueline and William West of Lake Charles, LA; one brother, Rev. Milton (Keisha) Ceasar of Jonesville, LA; one sister, Nefateria Ceasar of San Antonio, TX; four god-sisters, Tammy Savage, Tamara Smith and Yamena Thompson of Baton Rouge, LA and Katina Roberts of Lake Charles, LA. A special father, Moses Coleman of Fenton, LA. One god-child Kevonna Auston of San Antonio, TX along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Elcid's funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Christian Baptist Church (North Location) in Lake Charles, LA. Rev. Milton Ceasar will officiate. Burial will be in the Combre Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the church.
