Ella Dean Doucette was the third child of the late Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Doucette Sr. and Mabel Brown Doucette, affectionately known as "Deanie". She was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on February 3,1938 and departed her life peacefully at the home of her oldest daughter Jennifer Doucette Guillory on July 11, 2020.

Deanie graduated from W. O. Boston High School and attended McNeese State University. She was a champion for civil rights for minorities in the Lake Charles area, an educator in the Lake Charles school district, she successfully mounted a campaign to assist Willie Mount in winning her Mayoral election in Lake Charles, LA. Along with a host of other careers in the city of Lake Charles.

As a long time native of Lake Charles, she was baptized at an early age at Mount Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership where the late Rev. Jones and the later Rev. Horace Allison was Pastor and then converted to Catholic at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Deanie preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Sr. (d. 1984), Mable Doucette (d. 1990),four Doucette brothers: David (d. 1937), Raymond (d.2005), Mark (d.2014), Clarence (d.20 17), and one sister Bernice Shirley Doucette Dugas (d. 2020).

Deanie leaves to cherish her memories, her four children (s): Jennifer Doucette Guillory (Jessie Sr.) Lake Charles, LA . , Jeffrey Jay Doucette New Iberia LA., Sulene Lee Henderson (Wilbert) and Dana Aquinas Boutte Sr. Lake Charles, LA., Four grandchildren: Candice Doucet Houston, TX., Jessie Guillory II, Dana Boutte Jr. and j ana Boutte all of Lake Charles, LA. Two great granddaughters: Chassity and Ciara Mandley Houston, TX. One godchild Regina Walker (Niecy), Virginia.

Deanie leaves behind two brothers, Alfred Doucette Jr . Lake Charles, LA. & Issac Doucette, Los Angeles, CA. Four sisters, Hilda Johnson, Lake Charles, LA. Coralin Doucette Theriot (Tiny), Lafayette, LA. Lula Doucette Warren, Los Angeles CA. and Peggy R. Doucette, Fontana, CA. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
