Ella Mae Simien Jones , age 89, of Lake Charles, Louisiana departed this life while at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 26, 2018. She was born on January 31, 1929 in Lake Charles to the late Tojan and Annie Simien. She married the late Simon Jones, and to this union four children were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tojan and Annie Simien;   husband, Simon Jones; seven sisters, Beulah Lee, Frances Lee, Bernice Smith, Lacy Simien, Theresa Simien, Lou Ella Jones, and Zelia Bohanan; four brothers, Clifford, Wilson, Asie and Wilton Simien.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Stephanie Jones Goodly (Lyndon) of Champaign, Illinois, and Deidrel Jones of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Two sons, Brantley Jones (Beverly) of Birmingham, Alabama and Nathaniel Jones of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Her memories will also live on in the lives of her five grandchildren, Caezairoa Franklin Jones, Brevyn Jones, Mia, Ashton and Jewel Goodly; two great granddaughters; four siblings, Elsie Thibodeaux, Willis Simien (Sylvia) both of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Delsie Citizen (Joe) and Gene Simien of  Denver, Colorado.
