Obituary

Ellis Thomas Charles Jr. was born on July 14 th , 1994 to his parents Tracasa Green-Prayor and Ellis Thomas Charles Sr. in Lake Charles, La. At the time of death Ellis was employed by Oceans Behavior Health, where he worked for them in Lake Charles, La and prior to his departure, he relocated to Houston, Texas and worked for Oceans there. Prior to Oceans, Ellis was employed by Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, where he worked as a security guard. Prior to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Ellis was employed by Cinc(federal halfway house) for many years.

Ellis accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was added to the body of Christ at the Blake St. Church of Christ in Lake Charles, La. under the leadership of Bro. Tommy Jordan. As Ellis grew in his Christianity, he attended several teen times, bible studies and several state and national youth conferences. While attending these conferences, in 2013 Ellis earned the title of Mr. Louisiana State Youth Conference, which led him to compete on a national level in Bowling Green, Ohio. Ellis preached his first sermon at a Louisiana State Youth Conference titled "Christians Under Construction." In doing so this inspired him to further his learning in the gospel.

After graduating high school in 2013, Ellis attended Unitech Training Academy in Lake Charles, La. where he earned his certification as a Physical Therapy Technician. After receiving his certification in physical therapy, Ellis then began his internship at Classic Chiropractic Care, where he completed it successfully. Ellis then attended Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, Tx. where he studied Religious Studies, which inspired him to go out and teach others about the goodness of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

While attending Southwestern Christian College, Ellis wanted to share his other God given talents with the world, and God allowed him to do just that. Ellis was blessed to have made auditions his freshman year. Ellis then became a member of the Freshman Ensemble 2015, but Ellis didn't stop there. In 2016 he was also blessed to have made auditions for both Spring and Summer tour at Southwestern Christian College, allowing him to travel the world singing, peaching and blessing others.

Ellis was very loving, kind, compassionate and free hearted, he never met a stranger. If you knew Ellis, then you know how much he loved his sports, debates, his parents, his fiancé and most importantly he loved God and working in his kingdom. Ellis loved everybody! Oh, and we can't forget how Ellis LOVED to have other people cut his pancakes before he would eat them.

Ellis is proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Easton and Grace Charles, and his sisters Shameka and Megan Green. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Tracasa Green-Prayor of Lithonia, Ga and Ellis Thomas Charles Sr. of Lake Charles, La, his grandparents Herbert and Ida Green of Lake Charles, La , four brothers, Jamelle J.
