Elnora Mary Carrier Burke 82, of Iowa, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Elnora was born in Welsh, Louisiana to the late Joe Carrier and Stella Jones Carrier on March 16, 1930.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joseph Burke, Jr. and sisters, Eula Johnson, Irene Gray, and one brother Ambrose Carrier.

Survivors include  their  children Barbara (Phillip) Gordon, Christine Grayson, Mary (Don) Augustus, Arnold (Patricia) Burke, Connie (Nelson) Bernard, Bradford Burke, Jerry (Randi) Burke; one sister Amy Guidry, one brother Preston Pete, and 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and  a host of  nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Combre Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 8:30 am to 10:40 am and a rosary will be recited at 9:00 am.

Funeral service will be held at St. Henry's Catholic Church on Wednesday,  August 8, 2012 at 11:00 am with Reverend Bryan Thompson of St. Henry's Catholic Church officiating. Burial/Interment will follow at Combre Memorial Park.
