Elrick DeJean Sr. was born on March 3, 1934 to Armeana and Alex DeJeanin Mallet La. He was a Faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary, andlater becoming a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of LakeCharles, La.Elrick retired from local 207 and began a life of enjoyment of hisfamily and friends, cooking and gardening among many other little thingsin life we take for granted.He was proceeded in death by his parents Ameana and Alex DeJean and hisoldest son Elrick DeJean Jr.He leave to cherish his legacy his wife Sophie DeJean, his twodaughters Sheryl DeJean, and Diana (John Roland) Thomas, and son Tommy(Martha) DeJean and one Daughter-In-Law. Two brothers Merrick DeJean andCurtis DeJean and two sisters Elrine Thibodeaux and Katherine Guillory.10 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of others familyand friends.Special thanks to Harbor Hospice Nurses and Staff for theircompassionate care during our love one stay, also thanks go out to thosewho has visited, called and have kept us in prayer and those who are yetpraying for our family during our time of bereavement. His funeral will be at 11:30am Saturday, December 20, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 8am-11:15am Saturday morning in Combre Funeral Home.
