On Saturday, August 24, 2019, the angels came and carried Elvonia
Savoy Guillory, age 81, to her heavenly home. Elvonia was born on
July 22, 1938 in Eunice, Louisiana. She was the third child born to
Isreal and Olivia (Watley) Savoy. She was baptized into the Catholic
faith at St. Matilda Catholic Church in Eunice, Louisiana. She
accepted Christ at an early age in her life. Elvonia had a strong faith
and trust in God. Upon relocating to Lake Charles, Louisiana, she
became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a
member of St. Rita's Ladies Auxiliary #31.

Elvonia's legacy as Matriarch of her four living children, thirteen
grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren was her greatest
accomplishment. For many years she enjoyed traveling with St. Rita's
Ladies Auxiliary attending their conventions. She also enjoyed cooking
and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Claude (Lloyd)
Guillory of twenty-four years; son, Patrick Lloyd Guillory; parents,
Isreal and Olivia Savoy; brothers, Percy and June Savoy, and two
sisters, Pearl Miniex and Elsie Sterling.

Elvonia's beautiful memories will be . cherished by her two
daughters, Pamela (David) Goodly and Lori (Ronald) Lazard, both of
Lake Charles, Louisiana; two sons, Kevin Blane (Theresa) Guillory of
Atlanta, Georgia and Julian Kirk (Della) Guillory of Lake Charles,
Louisiana; two brothers, Joseph Savoy of Eunice, Louisiana and
Louis (loan) Savoy of Lafayette, Louisiana; and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
