Obituary

Ernest was known to everyone who loved him as Duke London. Duke graduated from Boston High School and went on to join the Navy where he served aboard a battleship, the USS New Jersey. He traveled the world until his retirement after 20 years of service. After retirement from the US Navy he returned home to Lake Charles to work at Boeing for a number of years. Duke spent his free time enjoying life which included fishing, going to the races and the casino as well as the spending quality time with his wife Marjorie? His life was filled with laughter and love.

Duke leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Marjorie C. London; four loving children, LaDesha, Lillian, Ernest Jr., step-children Andre? and Andrea; six grandchildren, Eric, John II, John III, Breana, Teleisha, and Ashley; four step-grandchildren; his brother Melvin London with wife Odie of Fresno, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including his dear friend Tim McCoy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donald and Jesse.

His funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 inWarren United Methodist Church 1800 Orchid St, Lake Charles, LA 70601

Reverend Davis W. Clark, Pastor - Officiating. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 12pm Saturday in the church.
