Mr. Ervin Joseph Guidry, 79, of Lake Charles departed this life to joinhis Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday October 6,2014 in hisresidence. Mr.Guidry was born August 5,1935 in Lake Charles, Louisianato the late Ethel Floyd-Guidry and Roy Guidry. He was a member of SacredHeart Catholic Church and served as an altar boy. He attended SacredHeart Catholic School and W.O. Boston High School in LakeCharles,Louisiana. On July 4, 1953 he united in holy matrimony withWillie Bell Davis from their union five children was born; four sonsMichael Joseph Guidry, Gregory Joseph Guidry, Christopher Joseph Guidryand Chad Everett Guidry and one daughter Cynthia Ann Guidry. He wasemployed with the old rice mill until it closed and retired from KMART.He was preceded in death by his parents Ethel Floyd-Guidry and RoyGuidry and his grandmother Edmonia Lawrence-Floyd who raised him. Ervinwill always be remembered by his quite, meek and child like spirit.Those who will cherish and carry on his legacy of love are four sons;Michael Joseph(Angie Davis)Guidry, Gregory Joseph Guidry, ChristopherJoseph(Kendra Booker)Guidry and Chad Everett Guidry and one daughterCynthia Ann Guidry all of Lake Charles, Louisiana. One maternal UncleFlorce Floyd of Lake Charles, Louisiana, 16 grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

FatherClyde Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleumunder the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
