Eula Mae Steven Williams, 82, was born May 2, 1933 in Holmwood, La to the late Edwin and Onice Stevens. A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, she was baptized at an early age and became a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she began her Christian walk with God. She was a retired cafeteria worker from the Calcasieu Parish School Board of 29 years and a foster grandparent of with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters non-profit organization. Later in life she became a member of the New Covenant Faith Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Jimmy R. Stevens where she served humbly.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, 6 daughters, Louanna Celestine, Jeannie Celestine and Priscella (William) Landry all of Lake Charles, La. Patricia (Curtis) Joseph of Carencro, La. Mary Jane (Reginald Maye and Darlene (Robert) Carter of Nashville, Tn. 2 sons, Chester Celestine of Dallas, Tx and Eric Williams of Lake Charles, La. She has 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Baston Sr, Iseah, Mark, John and Adam Stevens as well as her sisters Martha Silas, Mary Stevens, and Rosa Mae Syas, one son, Herbert Lee Celestine, her 1st husband, Houston Pete Celestine and her late husband, Harris Neal Williams.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: August 15, 2015
Visitation with Eula's family will be held Friday from 6 pm t0 9pm as well as 8am-11am Saturday, August 15, 2015 followed by funeral services at 11am, all at New Covenant Faith Baptist Church, 2233 12th Street were Pastor Dr. Jimmy R. Stevens will officiate. Burial will be at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral home.
