Eyola Semien Deville, 87 was called home on Monday, February 27, in a local hospital.
Eyola was born on December 21, 1924 in Lake Charles to parents Telesma (T.A.) Semien and Valentine Marie Gradney. She was a life long active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, belonging to several organizations. She had an energetic personality and one of her greatest joys in life came from Zydeco dancing. Family was her devotion and she provided them with an abundance of love, knowledge, wisdom and strength. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 38 years Edward A. Deville and 10 siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memories in her daughter, Valtelene (Paul) Deville Labbe; sons, Ronald W. (Priscilla) Deville of Lake Charles and Delbert J. (Janet) Deville of Austin, TX; sister Easter Fontenot Victorian of Lake Charles; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be at 11 am Saturday, March 3 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Monsignor Ronald Groth will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 8:30 am to 10:45 am with a rosary at 9:30 am Saturday in Combre Funeral Home.
